Terms of Use

1. What we offer

Biashara Continent provides business documents and marketing design, web development, downloadable desktop/web software, an AI-powered CV builder, an online training academy, and facilitation for eCitizen and KRA errands. Not every feature requires an account, but building or downloading a CV, buying software, enrolling in a course, and requesting a facilitation service do.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything that happens under your account. Give us accurate information when you register, and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Payments and pricing

Prices on the platform are in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and may change at any time; the price shown at checkout is the one that applies. Payments are processed by M-Pesa (Safaricom Daraja) or Paystack — we never see or store your PIN or full card number. An admin account never pays for anything on the platform, since admin access is used only to test and manage the platform.

4. Digital deliverables and refunds

CV downloads, software downloads, and course access are digital deliverables. Once a document has been downloaded, a software license issued, or course content accessed, it's generally non-refundable, in line with standard practice for digital goods. If something we delivered was genuinely broken or not what was described, contact us — we'll make it right.

5. eCitizen & KRA facilitation services

Biashara Continent is not a government agency and is not affiliated with eCitizen, NTSA, DCI, KRA, or any other Kenyan government body. When we help you with a passport, ID, business registration, KRA PIN, or similar errand, we are only helping you prepare and submit the application correctly. Any fee we charge for this is our own facilitation fee. Official government fees are always paid by you, directly to that agency's own payment channel (eCitizen, iTax, or in person) — never to Biashara Continent. We don't control, and can't guarantee, the government's own processing times, approval decisions, or fee changes.

6. AI-generated content

Summaries, bullet points, ATS scores, and extracted document data are generated with the help of Claude (Anthropic's AI model). This is a drafting aid, not a guarantee of accuracy — always review your CV and any extracted information before relying on it or submitting it to an employer.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, fraudulent, or someone else's personal information as your own.
• Upload illegal, infringing, or harmful content through the CV builder, uploads, or contact forms.
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or payment verification.
• Use the platform to impersonate Biashara Continent, a government agency, or another person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual property

You own the content of your own CV and any business material you submit to us. Template designs shown in our public CV gallery use fictional sample data and belong to Biashara Continent as marketing material — they aren't real customer CVs.

9. Third-party services

Parts of the platform rely on third parties — M-Pesa, Paystack, Anthropic's Claude API, remove.bg, and Google sign-in — each governed by their own terms in addition to ours.

10. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Biashara Continent is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform, including delays or decisions made by government agencies, employers, or third-party payment providers.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the update.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
